About the Author

John Briley was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in the USA. He is best know as a screenwriter, but he has also written several novels. In all Briley has written fifteen screenplays, including Children of the Damned (1956). he won an Oscar for the screenplay for Gandhi (1983) , which was produced and directed by Richard Attenborough.
