Synopsis
The OPD Lesson Plans provide instructors with step-by-step procedures to follow for communicative vocabulary lessons based on the Oxford Picture Dictionary (OPD). It contains page-for-page reproduction of the OPD, and each topic is accompanied by a complete seven-stage lesson plan, followed by Expansion activities for many of the lessons.
In addition to the picture pages, all the other pages of the OPD appear in the Lesson Plans as well, including:
a verb guide listing all the verbs in the OPD, including simple, past, and participle forms of the irregular verbs
an alphabetical index listing all words and topics in the OPD
a pronunciation guide and a phonetic listing for each word in the index
an index including pronunciation of all geographical names in the OPD
There are three CDs accompanying the OPD Lesson Plans:
the Pronunciation Audio CD
the Multilevel Listening Audio CD
the Reproducible Worksheets CD-ROM containing the corresponding multilevel listening exercises and context-based pronunciation practice
